Case Study Coffee Lounge
- Replaced a WordPress site where plugins kept breaking and William kept getting pulled in to fix it
- Built entirely around his own photography, so the site feels like actually walking into the shop
- William can update hours, events, and info himself without needing a developer
- Coffee beans for sale are being added now, one-time purchases and subscriptions
This one started on Instagram. Aaron had been watching William Douglas’s YouTube videos for a while, loved his woodworking, and reached out with some questions. William was based in Phoenix, which made it feel like a real conversation rather than just a cold message to someone on the internet.
Somewhere in that exchange, William mentioned he was opening a coffee shop and needed a website for it, plus his personal site needed to be redone. Both were on WordPress. Both had the same problem: plugins would go outdated, something would break, and William did not really know how to fix it from there. He was a craftsman and a content creator, not a website admin.
The Site
Case Study Coffee Lounge is a coffee shop and event venue in Phoenix. William does his own photography, and the shop has a specific look: warm light, wood grain, the kind of space that makes you want to stay longer. Getting that into the website meant actually using his images rather than generic stock, and pulling the color palette from what he had already built in the physical space.
The result is a site that feels like walking into the shop, which is what it should do.

What He Can Do Himself
William can go in and update business hours, manage event listings, and keep the information current without needing help. That was a hard requirement after the WordPress experience. He is not looking to learn web development. He just needs to be able to run his business without the website becoming a second job.
The relationship is ongoing. Right now the site is going through another phase: adding coffee beans for sale, both as one-time purchases and subscriptions. When that is live, Case Study will have a full e-commerce layer built in alongside the existing site.
This is a Standard build. Clean, fast, built around how your business runs. No templates, no page builders.
